Stephen is a Richmond native, and the proof of his love for the city can be felt in every event he oversees. As Director of Events at Venture Richmond, he has poured his soul into creating unforgettable experiences and curating artists and vendors.

The creativity and whole-heartedness he brings to the table can be seen in every event he works on throughout the year, especially when it comes to the music. He has handpicked artists for Friday Cheers concerts annually and has gone out of his way to find up and coming bands that represent Richmond’s diversity and unique flair. In addition to his knack for finding the best up-and-coming talent for Friday Cheers, Stephen plays a passionate and pivotal role in the success of numerous festivals cherished by locals and visitors from around the globe, including the Folk Festival, 2nd Street Festival, and Dominion Energy Riverrock.

In addition to his skill at planning events, Stephen offers his own musical talents as drummer to his band VILLAGES and frequents concerts and events all around Virginia. When he’s not rocking out or attending a show, he can be found kayaking on the James River and spending time with his family, who share the same contagious passion for Richmond that he does.
